Arm Pain

"Doctor, why does my arm hurt?"  It's important to understand that the nerves in the arm originate from the upper-back to mid-neck area of the spine and are part of a network of nerves called the brachial plexus.  Stress, compression or injury to these delicate nerve fibers are the main cause of arm pain.  Careful examination will determine the exact cause and source of your pain.  Eliminating the pressure to these nerves through very specific chiropractic adjustments and muscle release techniques can help to alleviate arm pain.  It is important to note that left-sided arm pain can be a symptom of a more serious heart condition which must be ruled out before treating with chiropractic.  If there is any concern that a cardiovascular problem is the underlying cause of the pain, an appropriate referral to another physican will be made.
